[A thousand pardons if I missed anyone. I think of myself as a pretty careful sorter and decent photo show host but I could not make head nor tails of some of the entries and some horses were apparently missing from their classes - I dug the best I could. Maybe it’s time for a standard way to mark photos for breeding stock classes. I just could not decipher the little notes on the little labels in some cases.. Those of you who have judged my horses know I try to make it VERY clear right on my photo backs. I bow down to the judges doing these classes every month in both clubs.... :)]

Thank you everyone for coming out! A few notes: Sit down and make sure your name and address are on every picture... your current name and address. *grin* Seriously, some were missing this important information. Also, for those of you have not yet discovered it, I have one word for you: "Scotch Magic Tape"...okay, it’s 3 words but STILL! Use a nice looooong piece so you can write the class numbers out in one nice long string.... nice and big *hint* and the pencil erases easily for the NEXT show! What else.... a few entrants sent two halter photos of one horse taped together - I did not have the heart to disqualify them even tho’ the prize list did say "one photo per horse per class." I just think it’s fairer for each horse to have just one photos, and it is SO much easier to sort and judge if there is only one. Taped photos are a pain to sort, to judge, and to flip back around so you can note the winner. Same goes for those who had TWO horses in one pic, with information on both on the back. And speaking of backs, a few horses had their information on the FRONT of the pic - that made sorting them harder than usual. Photo on front, information on back, and horizontal even if the photo is vertical. Thank you!

For those who pre-sorted, THANK YOU! Cindi Nakagawa wins the award for "best presorting EVER" - Cindi, I appreciate it and wish I had an award to give you! To those who sent extra Arabians for my viewing pleasure, bless you. It was total eye candy, and that is what holding a photo show is all about, isn’t it? Getting to drool over your friend’s horses? I had paper towels handy, don’t worry. And finally, the funniest moment was the envelope with the note on the back of it with an arrow pointing to a small clump of animal hair caught under the tape holding the flap closed. The note read "I really hate helpful cats. Almost got his tail too..." LOL! Ahh, and I thought my cat was the only one who tried to mail herself along to shows like that. :) Thank you again everyone for coming out to support two great clubs and my humble benefit show!
