Al-Shama Trabag+++
Owned and bred by Dragon Star Farm/Michelle L. Weston
1994 Chestnut (parti-color) Domestic Arabian Mare
Breyer PAM RRH by Judy Renee Pope

One thing you notice right away about Al-Shama Trabag (a.k.a. “Ally”) is her striking color. Make no mistake; this girl is a purebred Arabian! Once very numerous in the days of old, parti-color Arabs have just about dropped out of existence. Ally is a portrait of her great great granddam Trabag and is sired by a stallion that regularly produces purebreds with amazing color!

Ally’s debut show with Dragon Star Farm was made at the AMAHA March 2001 POS. She made her owner proud by bringing home Champion English, Reserve Champion Western, Champion Other Performance and Overall Performance Champion. The rest was AMAHA history!

This lovely mare has brought home the blues in every discipline and has earned many Top Tens and National awards with AMAHA. Her highest honor came at the end of 2001 was she was crowned Horse Of The Year. Little did owner Michelle Weston know that this prestigious award would be given to her flashy little mare again the following year making Ally the first horse in the AMAHA award books to have earned Horse Of The Year two years running!

After her induction into the AMAHA Hall Of fame Al-Shama Trabag will be retired from showing with AMAHA although she may "dabble" from time to time in some all-breed competition. With her retirement those at Dragon Star Farm hope she will continue her success in the broodmare barn.
