RULES FOR REGISTRATION:

REGISTRATION FORM You can use this registration form.

All pure and part Arabians are accepted. AMAHA follows the rules from Arabian Horse Association (AHA), therefore part-Arabs must have one Arab parent (be at least 50% Arabian) and have at least some Arab characteristics. This also means that AMAHA follows USAeq when it comes to showing horses, so keep that in mind.
Fill out the registration form.
All info must be typed or NEATLY printed. To be entered in the Stud Book, your model MUST be registered. As of 2007, your models do not have to be registred to be eligible for Year-End Awards and Accumulative Awards.

Registration is free, and will be accepted via email or postal mail.

YOUR NAME/ADDRESS: At the top of the page, please state your name & address, plus your email address.

NAME: Can be no longer than 17 characters (including spaces), and have no more than 3 sections (example: FL Ibn Arab). The only punctuation allowed are asterisks for imported horses (*) and hyphens (-).
NOTE: Horses registered as BORN 2002 or later can have 21 characters and no more than 4 sections to their name.
You may now also change your horses' names, provided they have had no offspring. A name change costs $1.00.

AGE: can be aging ("foaled 1990") or non-aging ("8 years old").
Use 'W' for foals under 1yr, 'Y' for yearling.

GENDER: stallion, mare, gelding, colt, filly. Use 'stallion' and 'mare' for adults aged 3 or older.

COLOR: acceptable purebred colors are bay, chestnut, grey, black. You can then add descriptive terms such as "liver chestnut" or "dark bay" to it. Rabicanos and parti-color horses are acceptable, as are sabinos. True Roan does not exist in the purebred Arabian - your horse will be registered as rabicano.

For partbred horses, acceptable colors will also depend on what colors are found in the breed of the non-Arab parent. A purebred horse being registered as "buckskin" or "palomino" will not be registered as such, instead they will be registered as light bay or light chestnut. Noting the markings of your horse is not required at this time.

TYPE: for purebreds, that would be Egyptian, Polish, Spanish/Crabbet cross, etc. For partbreds, it would be Anglo-Arab, Araloosa, Quarab, etc. Please note that Pintabians have special requirements to be included in their Registry--namely, the horse *must* be tobiano (overo, tovero, sabino, etc not acceptable) and the horse must also be over 99% Arabian.

FINISH: please state whether your horse is OF, repainted, rep/hair, rep/remake, rrh, or an artist resin. Horses made of resin but mass-produced from a factory, such as Black Horse Ranch and Northlights are considered OF, while Artist Resins such as the AMARNA Arab stallion are considered customs.

MAKE/MOLD: State what type of mold your horse is. The factory number is not required, but if your model is a special run please make note of it. Example: OF SR BHR PAS. Please do state what mold it is..."OF Breyer" is not enough information.

SIRE and DAM: AMAHA now has a Stud Book, so I am asking for the names of the parents of your model. This is *not* mandatory! So if you haven't pedigreed your models yet, don't worry about it. If you do list them please indicate real horses with a ®, and *registered* model parents by an (m). If the parent isn't a purebred Arab, please state the breed(s).

Send registration requests to Heather Gill
Please put "AMAHA Registrations" in the subject line so it doesn't get overlooked.
