MEMBERSHIP:

SUBSCRIPTION: $13 per year. Includes 6 issues of The Desert Horse Review, the newsletter in which the club news is printed. Newsletters are mailed in 10x12 envelopes.
OVERSEAS/CANADA: $20 overseas in U.S. dollars. Canada $16 in U.S. dollars.
PAYMENT: Personal check, postal money order, cashier's or banker's check.

Members are eligible to participate in all club activities, and compete for year-end and accumulative awards.

Benefits of Membership include:

Registration of Horses: All pure and part-bred Arabians are registerable. To be included in the Stud Book, the model MUST be registered. As of 2007, models do NOT have to be registered to be eligible for Year-End Awards and Accumulative Awards. The Rules for Registration are here.

The Registration Form is available here. To mail in your registrations, please print out this form and make copies.

Desert Horse Review: 6 issues of the DHR are published throughout the year. The DHR includes many articles and photos submitted by members. It also contains information on upcoming shows, award winners, and new releases of Arabian models. In addition to the DHR, there are several publications available to members.

Stud Book Participation: You may submit your Arabian breeding stock to be listed in the AMAHA Studbook. You may also purchase copies of the studbook either in print (for $10.00) or on CD (for $12.00), plus S/H. Please review the Studbook Submission Guidelines for more information.

NSH Sire Nomination: You may nominate your Arabians as National Show Horse sires. By submitting the points their foals earn throughout the year, you can compete for Top Ten NSH Sire of the Year and earn prizes. More information can be found at NSH Sire Nominations .

Photo Shows: You may participate in monthly Photo Shows. The Photo Show classlist is extensive. The show calendar can be found here: Show Calendar. You can get a good idea of what the judges will be looking for in the Judge's Guide and learn more about what is expected of the shower in the Showing Guidelines.

Awards: By keeping track of how your horses do in showing, you can earn Year End Awards and Accumulative Awards. For full details on keeping track of your points, please look at the Awards and Point System. You can also see some of our past Hall of Fame winners on the Award Winners page.

To submit your points, please print out a Point Sheet for each horse, tally up their points, and submit the point sheet to the Pointkeeper.
