CLASS RULES
PHOTOS: Photos should be standard sizes (3x5, 4x6). Should
have standard info on back (horse's name, age, nationality or mix--if part-bred,
gender, color, classes entered, your name, address, some additional identifying
mark).
NOTE: Printed digital photos are acceptable, however, they MUST
be printed on photo quality paper, be of standard photo size, and only minor
adjustments can be made. Obvious cheating will disqualify the shower from
showing.
Please sort photos by classlist before sending to judge. Photos in the wrong
class order do NOT have to be moved to correct order for judging!
HALTER See classlist for special rules on splitting classes.
Get of Sire/Produce of Dam: Photos should be presorted by the entrant.
- Parent and offspring need not be in the same photo, but pix should be
clearly marked. Also, please include a separate sheet of paper listing the
parents and their offspring. This will make it easier for the judge to make
sure they have the right offspring with the right parents.
- Judged on improvement of foal over parent, prepotency (alikeness)
and correctness of foals.
- Only the parents are counted and listed in results.
- Juniors (Classes A/B) are those with one foal.
- Seniors (Classes C/D) must have at least two foals, with no more than six foals entered
per sire or dam.
- The Breeding Program (Class E) class requires at least three generations of the same
family, in any combination of gender -- for instance, an entry may include a
stallion, his grown mare offspring, and her foal. This class is to be judged
on the correctness of all of the horses in the entry, iprovement an consistency
in foals, and similarity through
each generation (in other words, it should be judged with the "long term" goal
in mind -- is this breeding program producing quality horses over
successive generations?)
- Oldest horse in the entry and the owner are to be listed in the results.
Showmanship: requires a proper halter with lead. Judged on presentation,
including photo quality, and correctnes of tack and pose.
Liberty: absolutely no tack allowed...horse should be moving freely.
Judged on brilliance and beauty.
Purebred Gender: Judged on correct conformation/biomechanics, type,
suitability to gender, and quality.
Bloodlines: Judged on correct conformation/biomechanics and suitability
to bloodline represented.
Partbred Gender: Judged on correct conformation/biomechanics and
suitability to gender represented.
Partbred Cross: Judged on correct conformation/biomechanics and
suitability to cross chosen.
OF Finish: Judged on quality, condition, rarity, conformation, and breed
type.
CM/Resin Finish: Judged on quality, condition, workmanship, conformation,
and breed type.
Color: Judged on quality, attractiveness, and accuracy of color.
Most Classic Classes: Judged on the correctness and typiness of the
model. Most Classic Head is like the typical Headstudy class, with particular
emphasis on Arabian breed type. Most Classic Arabian should be judged in a
similar manner, but should consider the whole horse; how correct the horse
is, & if it shows particularly strong and good breed type.
PERFORMANCE: Performance classes should be judged on suitability
of horse to class, quality, and presentation. Models should be marked down or
disqualified for incorrect tack. One photo per horse per class unless
otherwise stated.

impede horse's movement. Can be split Native/Showring/Other if there are more
than 10 pix per EACH style of costume.
